I cannot believe the first half of term has flown by so quickly. The children have all settled quickly into Pre-school life. Firstly I would like to thank all the Pre- school staff for their hard work. They ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the Pre-school, providing interesting and stimulating activities for all the children. Personally I have enjoyed parent help so I can witness these activities first hand, from the making of the scarecrow to the eating of the pumpkin soup! I can safely say that all children have loved participating!

A big thank you must go to Jenny Salisbury for organising the fund raising events. The family fun day was enjoyed by all, and thank you to all who helped out in the organising and on the actual day. In the next half term we have many exciting events coming up, including the bake sale on Wednesday 1st November and the Autumn fair on Saturday 18th November.

I would also like to thank the committee for their ongoing hard work over the last 7 weeks. It can be tricky to juggle home life, careers and other commitments so we are extremely grateful for the dedication. If anyone is thinking about how to get more involved in Pre-school then we would love to hear from you. Jenny has sadly got to step down from the role of Fundraising Officer so we are in urgent need of a replacement – please let us know if this is something you could help with or chat to one of the committee for more details.

Don’t forget the parents/carer social at The Caversham Rose on Thursday 2nd November. We hope to see lots of you there. It a great opportunity to get to know each other a bit better. With no little people around we may even get to finish a conversation!
