Welcome back to the second half of term! We hope you have all had a lovely half term break and are feeling refreshed. This half term has been incredibly busy and I would like to thank the staff for all their ongoing hard work to create a lovely atmosphere within the setting and maintaining such high level of childcare. I also hope that all the new children and families have settled in well.

The children have been so busy, and this is evident during my times spent as parent help. I have watched them playing outside, doing arts and craft as well as cooking up soups, biscuits, and more recently, American pancakes –yum! Thank you to all the parents that have given up their time to come and show the children their many skills!

A highlight of this term has to be the race night which was brilliantly organised by Amy and supported by the committee. It’s was a huge success and thoroughly enjoyable. Congratulations to the winning jockey, Davina Turnbull – a deserved winner!!

We will soon be looking to recruit new members to the committee for 2018/2019. A few members will be staying on with their children, and we do hope they continue in their roles, if you would like to know any more details about how you can join, please do approach any member of the committee and this will ensure a smooth transition for next year. It’s a perfect chance to meet other parents and help support our wonderful Pre School.

This term we have a parent’s social which is to be held on 14th March. This is a great chance to catch up with everyone in a relaxed environment. There is also the ever popular bake sale and coffee morning on Monday 26th February, held at drop off. I hope to see many of you there to enjoy a cake and a cuppa – guilt free as it’s for the children!

Don’t forget that St. Andrew’s Pre-school has been chosen as one of Waitrose’s three charities for February. So get posting those green tokens and spread the word! We will get a share of £1000 depending on how many green tokens we can get in our box. We look forward to the second half of term and if there are any questions you have please don’t hesitate to find any member of the committee at drop off or pick up.
