Dear families,

I hope you’ve all been enjoying a lovely Easter holiday, and are looking forward to the new term! There are lots of exciting things to be looking forward to next term – Sports Day, the Pre-school outing and the end of term party are all great fun so get the dates in your diary now! Hopefully we’ll also be enjoying lots of sunshine and outdoor play! I can’t believe it’s already the
last term for many of our children! I’m sure it will be a really good last term for them with lots of activities planned by staff to help the transition to school.

A huge thank you as ever to Hilary and all the staff team for their hard work over last term. It’s been lovely to see all the art work and craft things that the children bring home and all the imaginative ideas the staff come up with and the children manage to create!

It was great to see everyone at the Easter Bonnet Parade! The children all seemed to really enjoy the occasion and looked fantastic in their Easter bonnets! Well done to the children (and parents!) on some wonderful creations! Thank you so much to everyone who baked and bought the delicious cakes on the last day of term. It was a great success and we raised about £85 for Pre-school which is fantastic.

It feels like a while ago now but a big thank you to everyone who was involved in the Race Night. Alex, Heather, Assel and Rachael did a fantastic job organising it all and cooking such amazing food. Thank you to everyone who came and congratulations to Glyn on winning the Grand Final! It was a great evening and brilliant to raise so much money for Pre-school.

The pre-school AGM is on Monday 13th May (9.30-10 in the Front Hall) which is when we will be voting in the new committee for the next academic year. We’re so grateful for everyone who has been on committee this year; the Pre-school can’t run without a committee of parent volunteers. It is a great way to be involved in Pre-school and support the staff. We have a good team coming together for next year but if you or anyone you know who is joining Pre-school next year might be interested in helping out in this way then we’d love to hear from you. If you’re able to join us for the AGM then please do come along, it’s only about half an hour and fine for younger siblings to be there too. It’s also a nice way to meet some of the new families starting in September and be able to welcome them.

Wishing you all a very happy Easter!

Sarah.
