Welcome back to the second half of term! I hope you have all had a lovely half term break and are feeling refreshed.
This half term has been very busy as always and I would like to thank the staff for all their ongoing hard work to create a lovely atmosphere within the Pre-school. It’s been great to see how well settled the children are this term and being so
enthusiastic about all the wonderful activities. The Chinese New Year celebrations and related crafts and activities seemed to be a real highlight!

Parent help has gone really smoothly this term so thank you once again for all your support with this. The summer term rota is now open so please do sign up online for your required number of sessions.

There’s a lot to look forward to in the next half of term, especially Race Night! This is a really fun evening so don’t miss out – book the babysitter, gather your friends and buy your tickets ASAP! Don’t worry if you don’t know exactly what a Race Night is – it’s hard to explain so just trust us that it will be a great evening!! Looking further ahead there is the Green Park Mini Mile for the children and 10k run for parents on the 19th May so sign up now on their website before the places are all filled up. The children really love it as it’s a fun morning out with all their friends and they get a T-shirt and a medal for finishing. It will be a great opportunity to raise money for Pre-school through sponsorship from friends and family, and whilst the children are getting active and having fun!

We are already thinking about the next academic year and with this comes a new  committee, which needs to be voted in at the AGM in May. There will be a significant number of families leaving Pre-school in the summer as their children move on to
school but you might well know families who are new to pre-school next year or returning with a younger sibling, even if you’re not staying on yourself. So please do have a think if you or anyone you know might be interested in joining the committee. If you would like to know any more details about what this might involve and the different roles, please do speak to any member of the current committee. It’s a great chance to get to know other parents and help support our wonderful Pre-school so do please consider it! I think (and hope!) all the current committee would tell you that it’s been a really positive experience!

We look forward to seeing you all again next week for the second half of term and as always if there are any questions or issues you have please don’t hesitate to find any member of the committee at drop off or pick up, or drop me an e-mail.
