Welcome to all our new families and welcome back to our returning families. We have 14 new starters this term; we hope that you all have a very happy time with us at St. Andrew’s. Over the first few weeks of term, a photo board will be displayed to help you all get to know each other’s names. However, I would like to encourage you to introduce yourselves to each other when you drop off or collect your child. At the start of each half term we will send you a newsletter full of useful information to help you prepare for the following weeks. This is a bumper one as at the start of the academic year.

Diary Dates

Our Library

Please do make use of our excellent Pre-school lending library. As you all know, books are displayed in the front hall every day. Encourage your child to select a book and log it in the blue record book. Children love to take a book home to share and it provides a lovely link between home and Pre-school.

INVOICING

Invoices will be prepared and e-mailed to every family during week commencing 23 September. The deadline to pay your invoice will be Thursday, 10 October. We kindly ask our families to settle their invoice by bank transfer if possible. Please note that we do accept Childcare Vouchers and if you are planning to pay using childcare vouchers, please e-mail our Administrator, Tracy Donaldson, to check whether our Pre-school is already registered with your provider.

VOLUNTARY CONTRIBUTIONS (VC)

St Andrew’s Pre-school is a charity and relies heavily on fundraising and donations to cover the cost of items such as updated play equipment, materials for craft activities etc.
On a termly basis, we kindly ask our families to make a voluntary contribution, to a maximum of £40.00 and this will be shown on your invoice. It is entirely voluntary and there is no obligation to make a contribution, however any amount is gratefully received. Thank you. Please note that we are unable to claim Gift Aid on VC’s paid using Childcare Vouchers. So if you wish to contribute, we would ask families to make a separate payment by bank transfer or cheque.

GIFT AID

We can reclaim Gift Aid from the Government on any voluntary contributions that we receive, providing that you are a UK taxpayer. By completing a Gift Aid form we can reclaim 25p for every £1 received. Thank you so much to all of our families who have completed a form. It is very much appreciated and makes a huge difference to us.
As previously mentioned, we are unable to claim Gift Aid on voluntary contributions paid using childcare vouchers.

SIBLING REGISTRATIONS

If your child has a younger sibling and you would like to register them with our Pre-school, please complete a registration form, by either downloading the form from our website or ask Hilary or Amanda for a paper copy.
Upon completion, please give your form to a member of our team, together with your non-refundable registration fee of £20.00, and they will forward it to Tracy Donaldson, who will e-mail you to confirm receipt of your paperwork.
Please note that registration fees can either be paid by cash, by cheque (made payable to St Andrew’s Pre-school) or by bank transfer (Account No: 64575704. Sort Code: 09-01-55. Reference: Your child’s name).
Any registrations for the September 2020 intake must be received by the end of December 2019 at the very latest.
